Introduction to documents


  • The Documents section within Vamoos offers a powerful tool to provide your clients with seamless access to vital information, even when offline.


  • There are 2 documents sections in Vamoos, these are called Travel Documents & Destination Documents (but you can rename these)


  • You can either upload a PDF document or add a URL. PDF work offline, URLs require internet access to view


  • Documents will appear in a list in the app, under the 2 menu icons, and your clients can click on each document to view them in more detail 








How to upload documents to Vamoos


  • Open your Vamoos Trip and select the Documents section down the left-hand side 


  • You will see the 2 documents sections appear Travel Documents & Destination Documents


  • Press ADD to add a new document





  • Next press ATTACH / LINK to add your document


  • You will see a pop-up window with 3 options:


  • Library - this allows you to select a document you have already added to your Vamoos Library


  • Upload file - this allows you to upload a PDF document from your computer


  • Web page - this allows you to enter a URL 





  • Once you've added your document press SELECT


  • Don't forget to give your document a clear title and press SAVE


TOP TIP: if you only add one document in a section, it becomes a single action button from the homescreen






Changing document section titles


  • The default titles for the document sections are Travel Documents & Destination Documents


  • Most travel clients will put booking-specific, important travel documents in the first section, and more generic, destination-based or trip-enhancing documents in the second section


  • However, you can use these sections however you want and you can rename these titles on a trip by trip basis


  • To rename these sections, simply press the pencil icon next to the document title






  • You will then see a pop-up that allows you to change the title & associated home screen icon for these sections that will show on the app


  • Press SAVE





  • You can also change the default names for these for all your trips in the shared section, under menu & labels





Reordering documents


  • You can change the order of documents at any point. Why not put them in date order, or put the most important documents at the top to make life easy for your clients?


  • To reorder documents, simply click the 3 lines on the left-hand side of the document, and drag it to the desired position







FAQs


  • Q: Do documents work offline?
    A: Yes PDFs work offline, but URLs will require internet access


  • Q: Can I upload a word document?
    A: No you can only upload PDFs, 


  • Q: Can my clients download, share & print documents on the app?
    A: Yes! On both iOS & Android apps your clients can press the share icon in top right hand corner and download, email, print or share any documents in the app
