Inspirations: promote other properties or activities

Inspirations is a tool which enables you to easily promote your property to guests, offering future specials, or promoting some of your other properties, if you are a multi property user. With Inspirations, you are able to entice the interest of current guests to book again with you through contact via the app.

Introduction to Inspirations 


  • Encourage repeat rebookings by showcasing your other properties through the app


  • Use it as a digital brochure for special promotions they can book, or activities they can get involved with 


  • You can tailor your inspirations based on your properties or services available, so they only see relevant recommendations 


  • There is also a Contact Us button at the bottom of the screen that connects them straight to you!




Creating an Inspiration template


  • Your inspirations brochure templates are created in the SHARED section in the top menu bar


  • Then go to Inspirations and press the orange Create Inspiration button






  • On the next page, you need to fill in the following General information fields:





  • Label: give your inspiration an internal name to help you find it. For example, name them by the property name or services


  • User ID & Passcode: you need to create a unique passcode for your inspiration, as this allows you to send out only the inspiration to prospective clients who have not yet booked with you


  • Contact email & number: enter the contact details you would like your client to be connected to when they click on the Contact Us button on the Inspiration


  • Notification text: here you can write a simple notification as shown above if you plan to make modifications, this will appear as a message on the client’s side. 



TOP TIP: Once completed, press Force Update (shown above) on the inspiration, and this notification will be send to all users that have this inspiration downloaded - a great way to send a mass update to clients!




Adding Inspiration content


  • Now you need to add your inspiration text & images for the brochure


  • Scroll down to inspiration sections and press ADD to add your different sections and give them a name in the section title box. This shows in the top scroll bar on the app (see phone screenshots above)




  • Now press the arrow to the right of the section title to expand it, and press ADD to add as many images and text as you'd like for each section


  • You can add as much or as little text as you'd like in the image description box, but we'd recommend just a few short paragraphs to capture attention but not overwhelm your clients.


  • You can also move sections and images around using the 3 lines to the left-hand side of each content block





Linking an Inspiration to your property 


  • Now you've made your inspiration templates, you need to link them to your property!


  • Go to your Vamoos List and open up or create a new stay, then from the left side menu, scroll down and select Inspirations


  • You will see a drop-down box called Choose Inspiration, please select the one you'd like to link to the property and press save






Inspiration notifications and auto-opening


  • Within your property,  if you leave the period as disabled, your inspiration will show as an icon in the app, but your clients will never be notified of this section or have it automatically opened for them. It will simply sit in the app as an additional section for them to browse


  • However, you can schedule a notification to go through. If you are using inspirations to promote your other properties we'd recommend scheduling the notification for 3-5 days after the end of their stay. This will also automatically open up the inspirations section for your clients and it will be the first thing they see when they open the app from that time onwards


  • If you are using inspirations for upselling and promoting your services, you may want to schedule the notification for during their stay, so they are reminded of the optional activities or services they can book 


  • To do this, change the period to your required date & time, and add in a message in the Message Content box


  • This message will be sent as a push notification on the date & time specified and will automatically open up the inspirations brochure for your clients to see







FAQs


  • Q: Can I add a URL link in an inspiration?
    A: You can add links within the description text and these will be automatically recognised as clickable links on the app
